Skin Care Methods to Look Younger

Some people are luckier than others when it comes to aging. There are people who are 40 years old but may look 30. There are others who are just 30 years old but look much older. This is due to the genes that you have inherited from your parents and there is not much you can do about it. Depending on what you have, you should adjust which skin care method to use in order to prevent yourself from looking older very quickly.

When one ages, the body slows down its production of collagen, which is responsible for the elasticity of the skin. With reduced collagen levels, the skin will tend to sag and form wrinkles. Aside from this, the body also slows down its production of new skin cells thus old scars, marks and other damages on the skin will remain there much longer. Free radicals would also have accumulated on the skin which can contribute to its faster aging. Excessive deposition of fat on the other hand, may also cause the skin to look ugly on specific parts of the body.

For those who are luckier and have younger looking skin even though they are much older than most, you can just live a healthy lifestyle and this may be enough to prolong the onset of wrinkles and other signs of aging. This will include eating lots of fruits and vegetables, avoiding fats and salt, drinking lots of water, exercising regularly and avoiding bad habits. This includes smoking and excessive drinking as these exposes your body to many different toxins that can accelerate the aging process. Also, getting 8 hours of sleep at night will help your body regenerate and repair broken tissues and cells more efficiently.

For most other people who are not so lucky, using eye creams is a good way to slow down the aging process. Creams basically work by improving the skin through many means. For one, it can help in tightening the skin so that wrinkles may be reduced. Creams that stimulate collagen production are the best creams as these work by reversing the aging process and providing the body with collagen that it can use to restore the skin’s elasticity. This way, skin will sag less and fewer wrinkles will also form.

Aside from solving the problem of wrinkles, creams may also help in eliminating dark lines, especially those found under the eyes. The lightening effect of creams can help even out skin tone so that darker areas will not seem as dark and the skin will have a more even tone. Creams can also smoothen out any rough patches of skin to further improve your appearance. Other creams can help in eliminating skin problems on the other parts of the body.

The best way to go about looking younger is to just combine several methods of skin care, just be sure that they are all safe to use and the benefits will outweigh the risks.
